About Elizabeth

D ear Friend,

My name is Elizabeth and it brings me great pleasure to have created this website and ebook  'A Worry Free C-Section'.

Let me start by giving you a little background on how I founded this website.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, journalism.  My career in the business world has included jobs in technical writing, technical Support & Quality Assurance.  Quite a wide range of skills, but for me, like for many of us, life has taken me down many paths.

In 2002, I left my corporate job to pursue a writing career.  It was my ambition to write in manner that would potentially help others.  So I'm here today writing to you about a topic that I have the most passion for, giving birth.

Childbirth is one of the great miracles in life but, as I have experienced myself, it can also be one of the scariest moments  ...particularly if you are told you must have a C-Section.

I had c-sections with both my children.  My first c-section was unexpected and I also had no idea at the time what was about to happen or how having a surgical birth would affect my life overall.  My c-sections were not complicated but the procedure was scary and my recoveries were tough. But the saddest part was that my birth experiences didn't leave me with a joyful birth experience like I'd wanted.

Only after having those surgeries did I find out how I could have changed the course of those events and had an overall better birth experience.  That opened my eyes, but it also excited me enough to help open the eyes of other women.

After careful research, study and figuring out how I could have done things differently I've taken special interest in helping guide other women through a more rewarding and potentially worry free c-section experience.

Whether your c-section is planned or unexpected, I'd like to help it be as momentous as possible by informing, educating and familiarizing you with the physical and emotional aspects of preparing, having and recovering from a c-section.

C-sections are a very necessary procedure for preserving the health of both mother and baby but unfortunately it has the potential of takinga miraculous event and filling it with fear and anxiety.

If you know will be having a c-section or perhaps you're simply aware of the possibility, take the time prepare yourself by understanding what will take place, how you can avoid the risks and what you can do to recover quickly. This is your baby's birth and one of your life's most memorable events, make it as wonderful as it can be :-)

My Sincerest Wishes for a healthy and happy birth experience.

Elizabeth
